You don't need to go to Holland when you can go to Skagit.

April is the month for tulips. There is a huge Tulip Festival in Mount Vernon Washington. I went seeking tulips on a weekday afternoon and I wasn't disappointed. Because it was during the week it wasn't too busy and I could get some great shots. I heard that on weekends people were standing in line for a couple of hours to get into the tulip fields (they charge admission). And I had a fun time checking it out. I think there will be some tulip paintings in my future.
